An aircraft engine made in the first Hungarian car factory Magyar Automobil Plc. based in Arad, began manufacturing various Benz engines under licence in 1915, which required the large scale expansion of the existing work floor and infrastructure. The 250 horse power version was installed on the Magyar Automobil Plc.'s series 169 Brandenburg C-I aircraft.
